1.1. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. They allow the Platform to recognise your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions. Our mobile app does not use cookies. It uses on-device storage and a crash-reporting service (Sentry) with personal data removed; it runs no analytics or advertising software.

1.2. This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal information more broadly.

2.1. Strictly necessary cookies: These are required for the Platform to function, including session management, login authentication, security, and fraud prevention. These cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality.

2.2. Functional cookies: These remember choices you have made on the Platform, including your cookie consent choice (the _88consent cookie, kept for six months).

2.3. Attribution cookies: When you first visit www.80eight.io we set two first-party cookies. _88t is an opaque visitor identifier, kept for 13 months and shared with app.80eight.io, so that if you open an account we can see which of our marketing brought you to us. _88t_ctx records the page you landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters or advertising click identifiers. Neither contains your name or contact details. If you choose “Essential only” in the cookie banner, both are deleted.

2.4. Performance and analytics cookies: These help us understand how users interact with the Platform, so that we can identify and resolve issues and improve functionality (Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager). These are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner, and are not enabled at the date of this Policy.

2.5. Targeting or advertising cookies: These are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. When enabled they support the Meta Pixel and Google Ads measurement and personalisation; they are not enabled at the date of this Policy.

3.1. Some cookies may be placed by third party service providers integrated into the Platform, including our identity verification provider (Sumsub, and Veriff for verifications completed before our change of provider), our sign-in provider (Auth0) and, when enabled with your consent, Google and Meta. Each third party's use of cookies is governed by its own privacy and cookie practices, in addition to our contractual requirements.

4.1. On first visiting the website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or decline non essential cookies. You may also manage or disable cookies through your browser or device settings at any time.

4.2. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Platform, or certain products, from functioning correctly.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date.
