What a Stack actually does, in plain terms.
Buying a little at a time
Buying the same rand amount on a schedule means you buy more when the price is low and less when it is high. It does not protect you from a falling market, and it is not a prediction.
You buy at the market price
Each purchase executes at the market price when it runs, which may be higher or lower than the price when you set the plan.
Gains can be taxable
Tax may be payable on a gain, so seek independent advice on your own position.
ZAR8 is a token, not a deposit
ZAR8 is designed to track the rand one to one and is fully backed. That design is not a guarantee of price stability, and ZAR8 is not a bank deposit.
ZAR8 Yield is not yet available on the 80eight platform, and nothing on this page is an offer of it.
No reward is promised
Once ZAR8 Yield launches, any Bitcoin distribution will be discretionary: not interest, not guaranteed, and possibly nil in any period.

How much do I need to start?
An Auto-Buy Stack has a minimum per execution, minimum.
Can I stop a Stack whenever I want?
Yes. An Auto-Buy Stack can be paused or cancelled at any time, and what it has already bought is yours in your wallet.
What happens if I do not have the balance when it runs?
The execution is marked failed and you are notified. We try once more the next day. After two failures in a row the Stack pauses itself and waits for you to resume it.
Can I use ZAR8 Yield today?
Not yet. ZAR8 Yield is coming soon and is not available on the 80eight platform today.
Is the reward guaranteed?
No. Once ZAR8 Yield launches, any Bitcoin distribution will be discretionary and non-guaranteed. It will not be interest on your money, it can be nil in any period, and past distributions will not guarantee future ones.
Is ZAR8 the same as a rand?
It tracks the rand one to one and is fully backed by reserves. It is not a bank deposit.
Do I still need my bank account?
Yes. Rands come into your wallet from an account in your name.
Is this a savings account?
No. 80eight is not a bank, this is not a deposit, and it is not covered by a deposit-protection scheme.
